A starry photo stack of Mars rising above the 'Testing for Gas' Miner Statue in Silverhill Wood, site of the former Silverhill and Teversal Collieries near Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire. This stack used 20 photos (set at ISO 3200, f/5.6 and 15 sec) taken on 15th October 2020. At 40 million miles, this is the closest that Mars will be to the Earth until September 2035. At its furthest, it can be about 250 million miles away!
